Tandoori Paneer





Tandoori paneer is rich with calories. This recipe is hot and spicy and reduce the quantity of chilies as per your taste.

Ingredients we will require to make this dish :

Indian cottage cheese (paneer) : 250 grams

Curd (dahi) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3/4 cup

Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one

Ginger paste (adrak) : . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . . . . 3 to 4

Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : . . 1 tea spoon

Tandoori masala powder : . . . 1 table spoon

Vinegar : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Lime juice (nimboo) : . . . . . . . . . . 1/4 cup

Cumin powder (jeera) : . . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Coriander powder (dhania) : . . . 1 tea spoon

Butter or ghee : . . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Capsicum (simla mirchi) : . . . . . . . . . . one

Small onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . as required

Small tomatoes (tamater) : . . . . as required

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Grind onion and green chilies and make a paste. Add curd, ginger paste, red chili powder, tandoori masala powder, vinegar, lime juice, cumin powder, coriander powder, butter and salt. Make a smooth paste.

Cut Indian cottage cheese (paneer) in 1 inch cubes. Mix it with masala paste and keep it for fifteen minutes.

Cut capsicum in 1 inch square pieces. Now fix randomly small onion, marinated paneer, small tomatoes and square cut capsicum on a grilling rod. Either grill it in an oven or on a direct charcoal fire.

Tandoori paneer recipe can be selected for a camp fire.
