Paneer Pakoda
Paneer pakoda is a spicy dish, full of calories. Reduce the quantity of chilies according to your taste.
Ingredients we will require to make this dish :
Indian cottage cheese (paneer) : 250 grams
Bengal gram flour (besan) : . . . . . . . 1 cup
Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . two
Ginger paste (adrak) : . . . . . . 1 tea spoon
Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . . 2 to 3
Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : 1 tea spoon
Baking powder : . . . . . . . . 1/4 tea spoon
Chat masala
Oil (tel) for deep frying
Mint leaves (pudina)
Onion rings
Salt (namak) as per your taste
Method of making pakoda:
Grind onion and green chilies and mix it with ginger paste, red chili powder and salt. Add bengal gram flour and baking powder and make a smooth batter by adding water in it. Be sure that no lumps are formed. Keep it for fifteen minutes.
Cut 1 x 1 x 1/2 inch slices of Indian cottage cheese. Dip cheese in batter and deep fry it in oil till it is golden brown in color.
Sprinkle chat masala on pakoda and serve with mint leaves, onion rings and green chutney.
