Paneer Cutlet
Paneer cutlet is a rich, fried dish, which can be served as a starter. Increase the quantity of chilies if you want to make it more hot and spicy
Ingredients we will need to make this dish:
Indian cottage cheese (paneer) : . . . 200 grams
Rice : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 grams
Crushed coconut (narial) : . . . . . . . . 1/2
Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . . 2 to 3
Bunch of coriander leaves (hara dhania)
Ground nut (mungphali) : . . . . . . 50 grams
Bengal gram flour (besan) : . . . . 100 grams
Cumin powder (jeera) : . . . . . . 1 tea spoon
Oil (tel) for deep frying
Salt (namak) to taste
Boil rice till it is well done. Add paneer, coconut, chopped chilies, coriander leaves, crushed ground nut, jeera powder and salt. Knead it thoroughly. Make cutlets.
Prepare thin paste of gram flour (besan). Add salt in the paste. You can add 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, if you want a spicy dish. Dip cutlets in it and deep fry it till golden brown.
Enjoy with tomato sauce and green chutney.
