Mutton stew





Mutton stew is a low calorie high protein healthy diet. It is not a spicy dish but you can increase the quantity of chili to make it hot.

Ingredients we will require to make this dish:

Mutton : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 500 grams

Onion (medium) (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3

Onion (small) (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . 8 to 10

Potatoes (aloo) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3 to 4

Ginger garlic paste (adrak lasoon) : 2 table spoon

Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . 4 to 6

Mustard powder (rai) : . . . . . . 1/2 tea spoon

Coriander powder (dhania) : . . . . 1 tea spoon

Cumin powder (jeera) : . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Turmeric powder (haldi) : . . . . 1/2 tea spoon

Vinegar : . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 table spoon

Coriander leaves (hara dhania)

Salt (namak) to taste

Oil or ghee : . . . . . . . . . . 11/2 table spoon

Fry finely chopped medium onions in oil or ghee till it is just soft. Add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilies, mustard powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder. Cook for a minute and then add mutton. Cook till mutton is almost done and then add 11/2 cup water, potatoes, small whole onions, vinegar and salt to taste. Cook again till potatoes are done.
