Mutton Rice
Mutton rice is a special treat for any occasion. This preparation is full of calories. It is not very spicy and hot, so increase the quantity of chilies, if you want to make it hot.
Ingredients we will require to make this recipe:
Mutton : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 250 grams
Basmati rice : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 250 grams
Ginger garlic paste (adrak lasoon) : 1 table spoon
Green chili paste (hari mirchi) : . . . . 1 tea spoon
Onions (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . two
Caraway seed (shahjeera) : . . . . 1 tea spoon
Garam masala powder : . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon
Tomato (tamater) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . two
Bay leaf (tej patta) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . one
Cheese : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50 grams
Ghee : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves (hara dhania)
Potato (aloo) : . . . . . . . . one
Salt (namak) as per your taste
Chop one onion and mix it with mutton, ginger garlic paste, chili paste, garam masala powder and salt. Add two cups of water and boil it till done. You can also pressure cook it.
Boil tomato and make pulp.
Heat ghee in a top. Fry finely chopped onion till just transparent. Add caraway seed and bay leaf. Fry for a minute and then add tomato pulp. Saute for half a minute and then add rice and cooked mutton. (along with water in the cooked mutton.
Mix it gently and then cook on a slow flame till rice is done. You may have to add some water for rice to cook.
Fry potato chips separately.
Garnish mutton rice with grated cheese, potato chips and coriander leaves.
