Hara Bhara Kabab
Hara bhara kabab is a fried spicy vegetarian starter. It is rich in calories. It can be taken with roti as a main dish.
To make this dish, you will require :
Potatoes (aloo) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3
Spinach (palak) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3
Peas (matar) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3/4 cup
Ginger paste (adrak) : . . . . . 1 1/2 table spoon
Garlic (lasoon) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3
Green chili (hari mirchi) : . . . . . . . . . . . 3 to 4
Cumin seed (jeera) : . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon
Black pepper powder (kali mirchi) : 1 tea spoon
Coriander leaves (hara dhania)
Oil (tel) for temper and frying
Salt (namak) as per your taste
Method of making Hara Bhara Kabab:
Boil potatoes till done. Peel and mash it.
Boil peas with salt. Mash it with a fork.
Mix potatoes with peas, finely chopped spinach, green chilies, ginger paste, black pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves. Add require amount of salt as peas are already cooked with salt.
Heat one table spoon of oil and fry finely chopped garlic and cumin seed. Add this temper to potatoes mixture and knead it thoroughly. Make long kababs and deep fry in oil till it is golden brown.
Serve with green chutney and tomato ketch-up.
