Gobi ka Shak
Gobi ka shak is a cauliflower recipe, which is simple to cook. This is a rich and spicy preparation and reduce the quantity of chilies as per your taste.
Ingredients you will need :
Cauliflower (phool gobi) : . . . . . . . 500 grams
Capsicum (simla mirchi) : . . . . . . . . . . . two
Tomatoes (tamater) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . two
Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . two
Ginger (adrak) : . . . . . . . . . 1 1/2 tea spoon
Garlic (lasoon) : . . . . . . . . . 1 1/2 tea spoon
Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . . . . 3 to 4
Red chili sauce (lal mirchi sauce) : 2 tea spoon
Cumin seed (jeera) : . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon
Cumin powder (jeera powder) : 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder (haldi) : 1/2 tea spoon
Curd (dahi) : . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/2 cup
Oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/3 cup
Coriander leaves (hara dhania)
Salt (namak) as per your taste
Boil cauliflower with turmeric and salt. Drain the water and deep fry it, till it is golden brown.
Heat pan and saute cumin powder for a minute. Remove it and keep it aside.
Now heat oil and fry cumin seed till it crackles. Add finely chopped onion, green chilies, ginger and garlic and fry for two minutes. Add chopped capsicum and tomatoes. Cook it for a minute and add baked cumin powder, red chili sauce, and curd. Saute this mix and then add fried cauliflower in it. Cook for five minutes on slow flame.
Garnish gobi ka shak with coriander leaves. Enjoy with roti, chapati or butter nan.
