Bhindi masala
Bhindi masala is a very simple and tasty dish, which is easy to cook. Bhindi - lady finger or okra has good nurtition value with fiber content. Increase the quantity of chilies and oil if you prefer a hot and rich dish. Ingredients we will need to make this dish: Bhindi (lady finger - okra) : 250 grams Mustard seed (rai) : . . . . . 1 tea spoon Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : . . . 1 tea spoon Coriander powder (dhania) : . . . 2 table spoon Curry leaves (kadi patta) : . . . . . . . . 6 to 8 Tomato : (optional) . . . . . . . . . . . . one Oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 table spoon Salt (namak) as per your taste Cut bhindi in about 1/3 inch pieces. Heat oil in frying pan and put rai, red chili powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and fry for a minute. If you like, add one chopped tomato. Add chopped bhindi and cook till done. (avoid water) Add salt to taste. Enjoy with chapatties or puries This dish is not a full meal as protein in the dish is missing. Normally these vegetable dishes are taken as side dishes along with dal or mutton/chicken dishes.
